The projected class schedule, including registration, orientation, start and end dates, is subject to change due to various factors. These may include holidays, class enrollment policies, instructor availability, campus or clinical site scheduling, and unforeseen emergencies beyond the control of San Diego Medical College and its affiliated facilities.

The official course completion date will depend on the student’s academic performance, attendance, and fulfillment of program requirements. Any schedule adjustments will be communicated in advance by the Admissions Office.

Nurse Assistant Training & Assessment Program

Our Nurse Assistant Training and Assessment Program is designed to fully prepare students for certification by the State of California.

With a curriculum that meets all federal and state training requirements, we provide students with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills needed to succeed as competent and compassionate nurse assistants.

Need assistance? We offer job placement support during or after your training to help you take the next step in your career. Students are free to choose with options provided. We have many agencies looking for CNA's, Care givers, CHHA's, please contact us.

​The CDPH Training Program Review Unit is responsible for the review, approval/disapproval and continual oversight of Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), and Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) training, Orientation and In-service programs.

​

This entry-level course prepares students for the State of California Nurse Assistant Certification Examination. This course includes classroom instruction and clinical practice in long term care facilities. Upon successful completion of this program, students is eligible to take the State Exam.  San Diego Medical Colleges are  approved testing sites. State board exam for Nursing Assistant is done in our campuse in Eastlake 821 Kuhn drive #103 Chula Vista 91914.

To secure your spot in the upcoming class, please complete the required online enrollment application  information. Our admins will reach out within 48 hours to confirm your appointment with our admins. After 48 hours please text (619)942-8274 to set up your first in person appointment.

Requirements during your enrollment appointment 

• Government Photo ID Card

• Social Security Card or ITIN number

• Enrollment/Registration Fee $100

Requirements during your orientation day

• If you don't have Covid 19 vaccination Exception letter required.

• Before Clinical training Physical + negative TB test result required.

******Students who finishes the program  successfully

( theory + clinical training+ lab hours ) with no missing hours,  will be able to take the state exam at our Eastlake location.
